In 1999 a corps was formed in Medford Oregon known as the Southern Oregon Crusaders. They were not affiliated with the original 1971 – 1977(?) Oregon Crusaders founded by the Jones brothers.
In 2001 the corps was reorganized and Bill Perkins (of Astoria Mariners, Astoria Sunsetters, Longview-Kelso “The Who”, and the Longview Marauders) was named Executive Director. During this period the name was shortened to “Oregon Crusaders” and relocated from southern Oregon (Medford) to Portland in the north.
As of 2019, the O.C. are inactive as far as we can tell. They have been removed from the DCI website as an active corps.
