Please note – Pre-1960, non-American Legion, non-VFW, or other non-fraternal organization drum corps were “Parade Corps” by our 1970’s definition which is: Did not compete in field show competitions. Organized non-fraternal drum corps competitions were exceedingly rare in the PNW prior to 1960. That being said, generally all non-fraternal pre-1960 drum corps were “Parade Corps” representing their local towns or their unique organizations / businesses.
Below is a list of 1950 thru 1979 parade corps. Anything prior to 1960 is assumed (above) to be a “Parade Corps” unless otherwise noted.
